AIMICI, the UK-based responsible-AI organisation for the screen industry, has taken its AI skills standard outside the UK for the first time, launching a pilot in Ireland for film and TV crew. The pilot is being run with the National Talent Academies, and is the first real test of whether AIMICI’s approach, already accredited by ScreenSkills in the UK, holds up in a different national screen industry.
Ireland’s production sector has its own scale, structure and ways of working, and the NTA’s regional crew academies already reach people across the industry at every career stage. This pilot is the first step toward establishing a training standard across the EU.

We’re building this pilot with the National Talent Academy as they already know exactly what Irish crews need. Applications to join the pilot are now open. Crew across Ireland can apply for a place through Film & TV Crew Academy East; approved applicants receive free access to the AIMICI course, with three months to complete it.

About the National Talent Academy for Film & TV Crew
The National Talent Academy for Film & TV Crew is a national initiative of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, dedicated to developing talent at all levels of the Irish screen industry. Alongside courses, programmes and career opportunities for aspiring screenwriters, directors and producers, its regional crew academies (East, South and West) deliver skills development opportunities for crew of all levels nationwide, with a particular focus on the regions and on increasing diversity and inclusion across the sector.
