The Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) marked a significant milestone this year with its first-ever AI Media Zone, where AIMICI demonstrated how artificial intelligence is transforming film and television production.
“MPTS represents the full spectrum of technology reshaping how we produce films and TV, with AI playing an increasingly crucial role in this evolution,” explains Kathryn Webb, Managing Director of AIMICI.
As part of the event, Webb contributed to two key discussions: the “AI State of the Nation” panel alongside representatives from BBC, ITN, and Moments Lab, and a focused session on sustainability and AI in production in partnership with BAFTA albert, featuring experts from Dimension Studio and the University of Oxford.
These presentations highlighted AIMICI’s practical approach to AI implementation. Webb shared upcoming AIMICI research including a comprehensive Film & TV AI Tool Landscape, analysis of AI tool distribution across production stages, and groundbreaking data comparing AI-generated and traditional production shooting ratios—crucial metrics for understanding the environmental impact of AI in production.
AIMICI’s presence at MPTS underscores a growing industry need: supporting production teams in navigating the AI landscape responsibly. With independent producers showing keen interest in AI solutions, AIMICI’s approach of balancing innovation with practical implementation resonated strongly with attendees. As an AI and Technology Agency for creative productions, AIMICI continues to lead with what AI cannot replace—lived experience and real human storytelling.
