We were delighted to lead an interactive AI education session at IndieLabsTV Accelerator this week, working with more than 15 independent UK-based production companies to navigate the complexities of AI in film and TV production.
Our session focused on empowering creators with practical knowledge. We guided the cohort through honest discussions about the excitement, concerns, and real-world challenges of implementing AI tools in creative workflows. Together, we explored the full spectrum of AI applications across the production pipeline – from development through post-production – including some engaging examples like seamlessly transforming a horse into a T-Rex in filmed footage.
What impressed us most was how thoughtfully these independent producers approached the topic.
Rather than rushing to adopt AI, they asked the critical questions we always encourage:
- How do we use these tools responsibly?
- What are the ethical implications?
- What are the risks around IP and copyright?
This perfectly demonstrates AIMICI’s mission – we empower the creative community with knowledge to find practical applications for AI while ensuring responsible implementation. We don’t just talk about AI safety in theory; we provide applied guidance that helps creators make informed decisions.
The session reinforced why we’re passionate about supporting the independent production community. These creators drive innovative storytelling, and when we help them explore AI thoughtfully and responsibly, the creative possibilities are endless.
